OAX Car Detailing was founded by Saul and Kevin Contreras (The Father & Son Duo) in Poughkeepsie, NY. Saul and Kevin have worked along side each other at different car washes and auto detailing businesses. They were one of the first to introduce the Hudson Valley with mobile detailing services. Starting out of an old red Dodge Dakota truck, Kevin and Saul began detailing cars at customer's locations with the bare minimum. Both being passionate, determined and hardworking, they perfected their craft and continued to impress customers all over the Hudson Valley with their attention to detail and quality work. One car at a time, they continue to build their business from the ground up to the point where they are now. They were given an opportunity to open their first location which was out of a home garage where they built their loyal clientele. Even working out of a home garage, Kevin was very meticulous abut what equipment to use and how to use it to provide the best outcome for every job. Today, they have their own detailing studio in Poughkeepsie, NY where their studio has the finest detailing equipment needed to perform premium results. Their shop was painted and prepared with proper flooring and most importantly, the lighting was installed to allow detailers to inspect every spot from every angle on the vehicles when being worked on.

Saul Contreras has been involved in the auto detailing/car wash business since he was 16 years of age. Saul began working at the Poughkeepsie Car Wash on Rt 9 with his brothers and cousins, it was his first job when arriving to New York, USA. He was able to manage and train people at the carwash for several years. As the carwash came to an end, Saul continued working in the auto detailing industry. He has gained experience with working with customers 1 on 1. Today, Saul continues to learn and evolve his craft to better serve customers and their vehicles.

Kevin is the son of Saul, who has been involved in the auto detailing/car wash business since he was 8 years old. He would work at the old Poughkeepsie Car Wash on Rt 9 (next to Red Lobster) with most of his family members, including his father. Here, he would do the basic things such as drying cars, cleaning windows, and vacuuming cars at a fast pace. Throughout his teens years, Kevin grew a passion for working on vehicles. He worked at different auto detailing busineses in the area, and acquired different skill sets necessary. He continued to work to save up enough money to attend a University to continue his education. Today, Kevin has graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology, but decided to continue in the auto detailing industry to provide exceptional service. Kevin has also attended various trainings to better develop his skills and to expand services for customers.

As the detailing industry continues to evolve, we continue to perfect our craft by attending industry trade shows and are constantly evaluating the latest products, tools, and techniques.
